Six months in Sint Marteen working in the Marine industry flew by and an incredible trun of fate meant we left on the exact date we planned six months previsous destined for Alicate in Spain to test sail a 2003 Lagoon 570.

From the moment we took her out to sail - she made us smile. Despite finding alot of things not working we loved the space, the design and the feel of her and we wanted this boat as our home. -After a bit of negotiating and some sleepless nights the deal was done. and we headed back to the UK broke but very happy and ready for a bit of family time.
John headed to sunny Burnham on Crouch to be with his Mum and Sister, and I head north to a rather colder and wetter Kendal to be with my Mum and Sister.
I took mum for a few days down the Yorkshire coast staying at Ravenscar a place mum visited over half a centaury ago!. Scarborough , Whitby and Filey - we did them all and of course enjoyed some great Fish & Chips.

Then north to Scotland for a beautiful wedding of Emmas best frend Nicola Laing. This was a fabulous get together of freinds and kids ( now all 30!) that I had known since birth and were all turing 30, and parents - well a little greyer but still well able to celebrate in style.
Spending time with my sister was wonderful, and the Lake District turned on the weather for a good gentle hike.

With a good family catch up complete - off we went to take delvery of our new home.
